Quickie Mini Monday -- Sending a Smile Across the Miles

Quickie Mini Mondays feature a 10 minute-or-less project -- something fast, fun and easy to reproduce and mass produce.

Hi everyone,

My goal for this week is to make a big dent in my TO-DO list. September is a very busy month in my household as both our kids, my husband and myself have our birthdays... yes, all in the same month! I look like a chicken with its head cut off!

I also decided to keep my projects simple as much as I can. This card literally took me 5 minutes to put together.

As you can see, a card doesn't have to be complicated to get its message across. And I quite like it! I used some retired paper from Stampin' Up! and a sentiment from PapertreyInk. Because the DSP  gave me the images I needed, my stamping time was cut down considerably.

(all by Stampin' Up! unless specified otherwise)

Stamp Set: Everyday Buttons Bit (PapertreyInk)
Inks: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Old Olive, Good Neighbors DSP (retired)
Punches: Corner Rounder
Ribbon: Bermuda Bay 5/8" Grosgrain (retired)
Other:  SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots

Sparkly Fun Friday -- Happy Day!

Sparkly Fun Fridays features a sparkly or glittery project using shimmer paints, embossing powders, glitters, rhinestones... anything shiny to welcome the weekend in a fun way!!!

Hi everyone,

Today is a happy day indeed! We've got our new design up on our blog and we really like it. To celebrate our new image, I decided to taylor my card around our new design.

I really like the color combo we chose; these colors are favorites of Gen and I. To mimick the font from our banner, I used a retired alpha stamp set and embossed the letters with White Detail EP. Then I cut around the letters.

I loooooooove these new Glitter Brads from the Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalogue. I simply opened the prongs on the back of each brad and slipped them through the button holes. Easy as pie!

(all from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted)

Stamp Set: Jumbo Outline Alphabet
Inks: VersaMark
Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Brights Patterns DSP Stack
Punches: Two-Step Bird Extra-Large and Corner Rounder
Other:  Detail White Embossing Powder, Uni-Ball White Gel Pen, Brights Glimmer Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen

Sweet Treat Thursday -- Dressed-up Chocolate Tin

Sweet Treat Thursdays are all about food -- our other favorite topic -- and features ways to embellish/wrap/present something edible. CAUTION: May be hazardous to your waistline!

Hi everyone,

As I was cleaning this Hot Chocolate Tin Can from Second Cup to put away in the recycling bin, I had second thoughts... I like the shape (and the lingering sweet smell inside) so I thought I'd save it for a project.  Here's the final product:

It was pretty easy to do -- a little bit of DSP and a gorgeous trim punched with the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die from Stampin' Up!'s new Holiday Mini Catalog. Add a few half-back pearls and you suddenly have something very sweet and classy way to present a gift.

The label is quickly done with the Big Shot and the bird uses the faux-chipboard technique.

Would you like to receive a gift in that box?! I know I would! Think of new ways to repurpose your recyclable items.

Cardstock: melon mambo, old olive, basic grey, brights and neutrals patterns DSP stack
Punches: 2-step bird extra-large, tasteful trim bigz xl die, two tags bigz die
Ribbon: old olive 5/8" grosgrain
Other: basic pearls jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Sticky Strip

Two 4 Tuesday - Getting Ready for Xmas!

Two for Tuesday features 2 projects that are similar in either color, theme, layout or embellishment but... with a different twist!

Hi everyone,

It's official; the Christmas projects have started. Gen and I are busy preparing fun stuff for you guys. Today was turn to come up with a 2-for and I decided to use my brand spankin' new products from the upcoming Holidays Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! (one of the perks of being a demo is that we get to order before our customers -- wweeee!). Those products will be available on Wednesday, Sept. 1st.

Here's a card and a tag, using the same exact products with the exception of the embellishment -- one's a glitter brad, the other one is a ribbon:

Look at that cute paper?!!!! I love it! It's called Candy Cane... can't go wriong with a name like that. The label is also new from a stamp set called Tags 'til Christmas. Oh! and that new Decorative Label Punch that fits perfectly around the stamped image, leaving a white border!!!! Yeah, I'm in love. The brad is also new and is glittery!!! We lurv glitter!

And because I couldn't resist, I shot a close-up of the card outside from underneath the gazebo while Stuuph and a friend were swimming in the pool... it's 30 degrees Celsius outside and Mommy is making Christmas projects :-) The contrast was too tempting to resist.

Have nice stampin' day !!! CeeCee

Hi everyone,
here's a card really fast and easy to reproduce for all the teachers that you love.

I colored the bus with my markers to make it fast, I draw the hill free hand and then cut it , since I didn't have any back to shcool sentiment , it's handwritten (another fast way to have exactly what you need).
